Bananas, Sweet Potatoes & Carrots Oh My!

Here are some recent pictures of Ethan :)

Ok, so I just had to post this video. Not only is Ethan just adorable eating his bananas for the first time, but watch his daddy's face with each bite. I almost fell on the floor laughing so hard. This was Anthony's very first time ever feeding a baby, so I am glad we captured this special moment :)

Ethan is getting so big, I cannot believe that we are almost to the half year mark already! He is such a happy and easy-going baby. As you can see from the video, he is eating baby foods now. We were planning on waiting until he reached 6 months, but we had a child that was so obviously ready to try solids that it was just cruel not to offer them 2 weeks early ;) This child loves it all- he has tried bananas, sweet potatoes, carrots, pears, apples, and rice cereal. The only part he doesn't like is when it's gone! (though I have distracted him with this silly little cheer I made up:)
This past weekend for Mother's Day, the three of us had breakfast together and then went to the Minnesota Zoo. It was a little chilly outside in the morning so we walked through the indoor exhibits. Ethan just loved looking at everything. We put him in his sling in a new "explorer position"  with him facing out and he just took it all in! Anthony picked out this beautiful purse compact for me with the words "beau vaus" (beautiful you) engraved on the front. I also received my first Ethan-made mother's day card with his little hand print in it- too cute. What a perfect 1st Mother's Day!

Take Care,
Elizabeth

Ethan is just adorable. You are lucky you have an eater. Hattie just started liking baby food last week and she is 7months old today. It is fun to see their face reactions isn't it?!?!
Looks like you three are doing great.

  2. Elizabeth, Anthony, and Ethan,
I cannot get over how big Ethan is! He is so adorable and growing so fast. I only wish I could here Elizabeth's chant at the end of feeding!
    Miss you!
